Triple Crown Fastpitch Tournaments//Showcase events//All-Star games
Welcome to one of the most exciting tournament programs in the United States. 2008 will start the 13th year for the Triple Crown girl's fast pitch program for competitive, select, travelling fastpitch softball teams. The "golden star" of the program is a wonderful World Series event that is held in Park City, UT-July 7-12, 2008 (10u A and B, 12u A and B), July 14-19, 2008 (14u A and B), and July 21-26, 2008 (16u A and B, 18U A and B). In 2006, TCS added the the B division, and in 2007 we have moved the respective age groups of A and B together. Also TCS placed the 16U and 18U together as we will focus this weekend on college coaches.Triple Crown Sports is pleased to announce that we have signed an agreement with Metro Sports (Kansas City, MO) — producers of the Kansas City Royals baseball games — to produce for television the Championship Games for 16U A and 18U A at the Premier Resorts Triple Crown Girls Fastpitch World Series in Park City, Utah. The date for these games is Friday, July 25th. Triple Crown will produce the Championship Games in the two age groups; the productions will then be distributed to affiliate television stations across the country. The estimated reach of the broadcasts will be over 17-million homes. The Triple Crown World Series was established in 1995 and in it's inaugural year, 24 teams participated. The teams loved the competition, but more importantly, they loved the mountain resort town of Steamboat Springs, CO. Steamboat Springs offered teams an experience that they would never forget. The weather was perfect, with temperatures in the mid 80's and after the team were through playing their games each day, the players, coaches, and families would go rafting or horseback riding. In 2001, 110 teams made their way to Steamboat Springs, CO for the Triple Crown World Series and in 2002, 145 teams participated. The World Series had grown at a rapid pace and in 2003, we needed to move the World Series to Park City, UT because of the growth potential and the growth of the Triple Crown Baseball series also in Steamboat Springs, CO. In 2006, 272 teams participated, in 2007, 340 teams participated, and this number is expected to grown to nearly 400 in 2008. Park City, UT has many of the same characteristics as Steamboat Springs, CO and was also host of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. The 2005 and the 2006 Opening Ceremonies are being held at the base of the 200 meter Olympic Ski Jump and it is a great site for teams to see their name on the hugh TV screen mounted on the side of the ski hill. Park City is easily accessed by air from Salt Lake City which is a 45-60 minute drive.
